SESSION INFORMATION

HOW IT WORKS

Upon booking and submitting the Customer Questionnaire & Portrait Agreement,  a $150 non-refundable retainer is due to guarantee your date on the calendar, and will be applied toward your session fee.  Session are held on location, whether it’s you home, a nearby park, or a location of my choice.

Sessions are anywhere from 1-2 hours long.  Newborns may take a little longer.  I am also a mom so I know that children are sometimes all smiles and love the camera, and others not so much.  We will work it out.

SCHEDULING

In order to give my best to my family, as well as my customers, I only schedule a limited number of sessions a month.  I do ask that if you have to reschedule your session, please give 48 hours notice.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Newborn sessions should be scheduled within the first 2 weeks.  That is when they are super sleeply and have mold-ability.  The session will take place at your home and will be anywhere from 1-3 hours long. I will process, a minimum 20 images, and display them in a password protected gallery for viewing and ordering.

Families, Children, and Senior sessions can last 1-2 hours.  Session are held on location, whether it’s you home, a nearby park, or a location of my choice.  I will process, a minimum 20 images, and display them in a password protected gallery for viewing and ordering.

WHAT TO WEAR

Clothing that draws you in and doesn’t distract is the goal.  Too many strips or prints can pull the attention away from the subject.  The idea should be to complement one another so that everything flows and the viewer focuses on the people, not the clothes.  But don’t be afraid of color!  Pops of color are fine and often add interest to the portrait, we just don’t want the whole rainbow. For more detailed information please visit my “What to wear” page, listed under the Information tab.
